Former Counter-Strike professional player Daniil “Zeus” Teslenko has shared his thoughts on the rumors surrounding Ilya “m0NESY” Osipov`s potential move to Team Falcons. According to Teslenko, this transfer would be beneficial for both the sniper and his new team. He also believes that G2 Esports will face challenges in building a competitive roster if m0NESY leaves.
“The departure of NiKo to Falcons and the collapse of G2: what`s next?”
“In reality, with NiKo`s departure to Falcons, a truly strong team fell apart. G2 had a fighting lineup: NiKo, m0NESY, huNter-, malbs, Snax — yes, not ideal, but they could compete for titles. There were good results, there was potential. This roster could have reached its goals.”
“However, it seems Falcons simply offered NiKo a huge amount of money, and G2 decided to sell. Currently, Falcons are not showing any super-top results, but it`s obvious — individually they are strong, and there is reinforcement. It`s just that it hasn`t yet developed into a system.”
“G2 immediately started playing much weaker without NiKo. He was a key player. And, according to rumors, m0NESY`s contract is expiring soon, and he has a good relationship with NiKo — they communicated. NiKo may have hinted in friendly correspondence:”
“`Why should you stay in G2, where prospects are low, and your salary won`t increase, when we have — new goals, roster, money, energy?`”
“If that`s how it was — then m0NESY might actually think: `Why not?` And move to Falcons. This would give the team a real chance to become top-5 in the world in the long run, if they assemble everything грамотно.”
“But G2, most likely, will slide into tier-2 if they don`t find a new leader and rebuild their strategy. Without m0NESY, it no longer looks like a tier-1 team. Plus, it seems to me, they need to change the captain or coach, or maybe solve something with the organization`s management. Because maybe they understand CS, but it looks like they might soon be left without a roster at all…”
“G2 themselves are to blame: they messed up with the roster, lost the core. Yes, maybe they sold NiKo for good money, but now they only need a clear strategic plan and time to return to at least some playing level.”
“In short, for m0NESY this transfer will be a plus, but G2 will have problems.”
“And, in general, they messed up as always with whatever came to hand… After all, there was a really strong roster with NiKo, which could претендовать for top 1. And now 2 rosters without results…”
The possible transfer of m0NESY to Team Falcons was reported by insider Guillaume “neL” Canelo. It is speculated that the Russian sniper has already signed a contract with the new team and will join the team before BLAST.tv Austin Major 2025.
